Building Permits - Roofing
Effective January 1, 2010, Department of State regulations require building permits for both Commercial and Residential roofing projects.
The following fees apply:
- Commercial Roofing - $50.00 plus $2.00 per thousand of construction cost
- Residential Roofing - $30.00 plus $1.00 per thousand of construction cost
As is standard for all building permits, Proof of Worker’s Compensation is required (NYS Workers Compensation Certificate Only –Accord Forms not accepted). Self-employed form CE-200 is available on our webpage.
Update from the Supervisor
Spring is another month closer. The Town is finishing up the Maple Street Sewer extension and the Town Hall expansion. The Town Hall will be closed on Monday, February 15, in observance of Presidents’ Day… ..

Big Flats Community Center
The Big Flats Community Center is beginning its sixth year of operation. We offer a wide variety of programs and activities detailed in a monthly flyer available on line and at the Center. Space may also be reserved by individuals or organizations for parties, meetings, etc. For additional information call 562–8443-ext.303.
